Find a mentor. Find courses. Find student funding.
Above all, get involved.
EPI nurtures growing minds
EPI wants to involve undergraduate and graduate students in our research program wherever possible. Students seeking mentors are encouraged to use the Faculty Profiles and Find an Expert resources to search for researchers or topics they are interested in, and they are encouraged to contact researchers for more information regarding mentoring opportunities related to their research interests.
Students are encouraged to:
Attend EPI's Seminar Series.
- Bookmark our site, check it frequently and attend subjects that interest you.
Attend the annual EPI Research Day.
- An outreach program that provides interested students an opportunity to display their research projects in a poster presentation format. Mingle with relevant faculty and meet other students interested in emerging pathogens. Check the news section of our website for announcements about EPI Research Day 2012.
Sign up for EPI's list-serve.
- Dedicated just for students, list-serve subscribers will be kept informed of training opportunities and, when available, short-term training grants. It’s a great way to get connected and stay informed.
View EPI-related courses and job postings offered.
- While the EPI does not itself offer degree programs for students, we do want to assist students with finding coursework relevant to their interest in pathogens and fostering their investigation of careers in emerging pathogens.
